CUSTOM ORDER SLOTS

Current Timescale for completion and shipping of a Custom Book :

My Custom order book has spaces for orders to be started in March 2024, for despatch within two to four weeks of start date (depending on the item required). If you would like to discuss a custom item, please do contact me!

** This doesn't apply to small items, such as made-to-order refill notebooks or custom labels for ready-to post books, tassels and other minor changes.

Smaller tasks can usually fit in between stages of my other work, whereas a custom book takes several hours work from start to finish, with drying or resting time between, so I can only take those on when I have a "slot" available.

SHIPPING INFORMATION

GERMANY
I regret that I can not accept orders for shipping to Germany. Please see FAQs for more information.

DELIVERY TIMES
Please allow up to 1 week for UK delivery:
up to 2 weeks for Euro-zone;
up to 4 weeks for delivery to the Rest of the World, including rest of Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand.

If you live in a less accessible area, or you know that delivery takes more time, do allow for this when you place your order.

TRACKED DELIVERY
I use Tracked Delivery for all Guest Books, Albums, Larger Items and Custom Orders. The delivery targets are between 1 and 7 days, depending on the location (but see note above).

If you wish me to ship your smaller Ready-to-Ship order by Tracked delivery, this can be done, for an additional fee (currently around £1.30 in UK and $5-$20 for international post, depending on weight of item).

Generally, deliveries to UK and Europe take less than a week, to USA/Canada around 7-14 days; however, items shipped outside UK are subject to local Customs laws and may be delayed if Customs in the receiving country wishes to inspect the package. Therefore, I suggest allowing a further week or two, to ensure your item reaches you in plenty of time.

CUSTOMS / IMPORT CHARGES
Please be aware that countries have their own rules about import of goods. Your local Customs department may impose an Import Charge on your package. It is the buyer's responsibility to pay any charges levied. LizzieMade Hand Bound Books can not predict or be responsible for these charges. If you wish to be certain that there will be no import tax, I would recommend checking your local regulations before purchase.

RETURNS

You may change your mind and cancel your order within 14 days of placing it, or within 14 days of receipt, whichever is later.
You will be responsible for paying return postal charges and a refund of the purchase price can not be issued until the item has been returned in as-new, saleable condition. If possible, I suggest you re-wrap the book in its original packaging, to protect it on its return journey.
Please let me know that you intend to return the item, as soon as you can, and before you post it. Thanks!

RETURNING CUSTOM or PERSONALISED ITEMS

If an item is Custom Made for you, or a Ready-Made item has been Personalised, then it may not be possible to return it for a refund. In this case, do CONTACT ME to discuss this, BEFORE sending anything back. If the item can be altered for re-sale, I will refund a proportion of the purchase price, if I possibly can.
Please bear in mind that a Custom item involves extra work that takes more time than a standard ready-made item. That time is included in the cost of your item and can not be refunded.
It will be your responsibility to cover the costs of returning a cancelled order; if possible, please use the original packaging, to protect the item on its return journey.
Please let me know that you intend to return the item, as soon as you can, and before you post it. Thanks!

RETURNING FAULTY or DAMAGED ITEMS
I do my very best to produce high quality items. However, if an item that you bought from LizzieMade Hand Bound Books should be faulty, please let me know as soon as possible. A repair may well be possible, or I may be able to replace your item. If we can't resolve the problem, then a refund will be possible.

If an item is damaged in transit, please contact me and we will discuss what can be done - it may be possible for the item to be repaired. Alternatively, we can arrange for the item's return and a refund, if that is what you wish.

Your statutory rights are not affected by the above. For EU customers, a returns form is available for your use, should you require it; however you are not obliged to complete a form and choosing not to do so will not affect your rights.

Custom and personalised orders

If an item is Custom Made for you, or a Ready-Made item has been Customised, it may not be possible to have a refund.

Sizing details

Measurements are provided for items within each listing. However, if you have a query about the size or dimensions of an item, feel free to send me a message.

Gift wrapping and packaging

I am happy to gift wrap your purchases in coloured tissue and ribbon or colourful baker's twine.
In many cases there is a gift wrap option in the purchase options, but if this is not available, or does not offer what you want, feel free to message me about it before purchase. Thanks!

Can you Personalise my item?

I am happy to add a label to your hand made book, to customise it. Many books include the label and have an option to specify your chosen text, however if this is not offered, or you need something different, please message me with your enquiry.

For non-book items, please message me to discuss whether personalisation is possible.

Will you ship an item to a different address?

I am happy to ship to an address other than your own (eg. a gift to be sent to a different country to your own).
However, please make sure that you specify the delivery address when ordering, as this may affect postage costs.
Also, specifying delivery address when you order (rather than with a note to seller) will ensure your order is covered by Etsy Purchase Protection and/or any postage insurance (eg. for larger and custom items I use a guaranteed, tracked delivery service which includes insurance).
** I can only ship to a different address if you have provided the information in your purchase information at checkout. I can not send an item to an address that is only provided by Etsy message or email.

Do you ship to Germany?

Following the German Government rulings regarding seller responsibility and licensing for recycling of packaging materials, I regret that I am unable to ship items to Germany.
I do not make enough sales to Germany to cover the cost of registration for the Government's recycling scheme. I apologise if this is inconvenient to you, but Germany's laws are outside my control and I can not afford to risk prosecution.
If a purchases is made for shipping to Germany, I regret that I will have to refuse the order and cancel it.
